Day 2 | Kampala to Gulu via Ziwa
Depart from Kampala to Gulu, the largest city in Northern Uganda (approx. 5-6 hours drive). We will have a stop at Ziwa for Rhino tracking in the wilderness, after Rhino tracking we have lunch then proceed with our drive to Gulu city.
Check in our hotel with a warm local welcome for refreshments and evening relaxing as we are introduced to the theatre of culture.

Day 3 | Full Day Cultural activities
Hands-on Wake Up: Start your day by joining the family digging, collecting firewood, and experiencing the daily activities of Acholi Local. Return then participate in milking preparation of Breakfast. After freshening up and get started with lunch arrangement by learning the local way of cooking and gather ingredients from the surrounding environment. Late afternoon it will be time for grazing where you join the men and boys as they take the animals to the river for water and also learn about their traditional methods of animal care and enjoy the picturesque scenery. Return share a meal with the locals in a traditional homestead as you experience their customs and traditions until nightfall.

Wake up today early and we transfer to Kidepo valley National Park which is located on the North Eastern Uganda, the home of the mighty Karamojongs. The drive takes you through villages with different settlement plans and life styles. It takes around 6-7 hours and we reach to the capital city of the Karamojongs the most remote culture in Africa!! We will then to and through Kidepo National Park and overnight at Kidepo Eco Camp

Day 6 | Full day Kidepo National Park with Early Morning Game Drive and afternoon hikes and community visit
Wake up today early and we go for the morning game drive in search for the big game like Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes and many others. At mid morning proceed to hike to kidepo Lonyili Summit hike. Later return to our lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon you will also visit local communities around the park in the afternoon.

Day 7 | Morungole for the day in Kidepo National Park
After breakfast drive to the deep village of Morungole and meet with the typical Karamojong the IK clan group. Spend the entire day experiencing the unique culture of the Karamojongs in the remote life. Join them freely to their cultural activities like Local dance, Milking of cows, Kraal experience and others. Retire to the camp for dinner and over night

Day 8 | Transfer to Moroto with Cultural Village visit - Overnight
Check out of the lodge and drive to Moroto for another classic cultural encounter. The drive takes around 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 hours will take you through the village life of the Karamojong. We will have enroute visit to local markets depending if time permits . Upon reaching Moroto the capital city of the Karamojong we proceed to our lodge. Have full evening cultural experience.

Payment & Cancellation Policy
Full payment for the trip must be received no later than 45 days prior to the date of travel.
In the event of cancellation, the following charges will apply:
- More than 45 days prior to the date of travel: USD $100 per person administration fee
- 30–45 days prior to the date of travel: 10% cancellation fee
- 15–29 days prior to the date of travel: 50% cancellation fee
- 5–14 days prior to the date of travel: 75% cancellation fee
- Less than 5 days prior to the date of travel: 100% cancellation fee
Payment Terms
- All payments must be made in USD$.
- Bank transfer is the preferred method of payment. Any bank charges incurred are the responsibility of the client.
- Credit card payments are accepted and are subject to a 6% processing fee.
Please note: Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are non-refundable once purchased. Where possible, permits may be rescheduled subject to availability and the policies of the relevant wildlife authority.
Additional Information
GORILLA PERMITS
Gorilla permits are limited in numbers. Permits cannot be booked and are only available upon payment. Because of the limitation, permits are purchased many months in advance.
A 25% deposit of ground handling is required to ensure accommodation is held, as hotels/lodges now require a deposit to confirm the hotel bookings.
