Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrrive in Entebbe and Overnight at Hotel.

Upon your arrival in Entebbe, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative at the airport. After a brief meet and greet session, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can unwind and relax after your journey. Take the evening to enjoy the tranquil surroundings of Entebbe and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Overnight at PAPYRUS GUEST HOUSE

Day 2 | Transfer from Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park.

In the morning, you'll embark on a scenic drive from Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge, relax and have lunch before heading out for an exhilarating boat ride on Lake Mburo. This serene experience will allow you to spot various aquatic animals and birds, including hippos and crocodiles. Later on in the day, you will embark on a game drive through the park, where you may encounter zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 | Transfer from Lake Mburo National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, depart from Lake Mburo and begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. As you exit Lake Mburo, enjoy one last game drive, capturing the beauty of the park one more time. Continue your journey, stopping for lunch enroute and later arrive in Bwindi, later that afternoon. Settle into your lodge, enjoy the view of the lush, dense forest that is home to the mountain gorillas. Have dinner and relax in preparation for your trekking adventure ahead.

Day 4 | The Ultimate Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today marks one of the highlights of your trip; Gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After an early breakfast, you'll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the trek. The trek can be challenging, but the reward of encountering a family of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is an unforgettable experience. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants before trekking back to the starting point. In the evening, relax at your lodge and reflect on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Day 5 | Transfer from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On this day, you will depart from Bwindi and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you through picturesque landscapes, passing through small villages and rolling hills. Later arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park and settle into your lodge, take some time to relax or explore the lodge’s surroundings before enjoying dinner.

Day 6 | Queen Elizabeth ; Boat ride, Game Drive & Katara Women's Group Visit

On this day, you will have to rise early in the morning for a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will get the chance to spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species among others. After the game drive, you will then proceed to embark on a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel which is known for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Lunch will be served on the boat. Later that afternoon, visit the Katara Women’s Group, where you can get the chance to learn about local crafts and culture as well as interact with community locals.

Overnight at MWEYA SAFARI LODGE

Day 7 | Transfer from Queen Elizabeth to Kibale Forest National Park; Bigodi swamp and Afternoon Chimpanzee Trekking

After breakfast, leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and head towards Kibale National Park, known for its chimpanzees and diverse primate species. As you leave Queen Elizabeth, you will have one last game drive through Ishasha sector and stand a chance to see different wildlife that you might have missed on your previous game drives. Upon arrival in Kibale, enjoy a guided walk in the Bigodi Wetlands, where you will encounter various bird species and other wildlife. In the afternoon, you will then embark on an amazing chimpanzee trekking adventure, where you’ll get to see these fascinating primates up close and get a chance to interact with them in their natural habitat. 

Activities: BIGODI SWAMP WALK (2-3 Hours), CHIMP PERMIT KIBALE FOREST (3-4 Hours)

Day 8 | Return journey from Kibale to Entebbe

This is the final day of your safari, Check out of your lodge and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before beginning your journey back to Entebbe. Have lunch enroute and continue to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Ugandan adventure.
