Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival In Entebbe, Overnight at Hotel

Upon arriving in Entebbe, you'll be greeted by our office representative who will assist with your queries and later introduce you to your driver and later transfer to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax and recover from your journey, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of Entebbe. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Overnight at PAPYRUS GUEST HOUSE

Day 2 | Transfer from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

After an early breakfast, depart from Entebbe and begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Enroute, you'll visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will have the unique opportunity to track white rhinos on foot, experiencing these majestic creatures up close in their natural habitat. Following the rhino tracking experience, continue your journey with a lunch stop in Hoima. Afterward, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. Settle into your lodge and relax before dinner. Overnight stay at your lodge in Murchison Falls.

Day 3 | Murchison Falls Game Drive and Boat Ride

Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, exploring the park's diverse ecosystems. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas among other various wildlife species. The morning hours are ideal for spotting wildlife as they are most active during this time. After the game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and In the afternoon, embark on a boat ride along the Nile River, cruising towards the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. The river is teeming with hippos, crocodiles, and a rich array of birdlife. As you approach the falls, you'll witness the powerful rush of water squeezing through a narrow gorge. Return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 4 | Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park

Bid farewell to Murchison Falls and embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you pass through rural villages and lush greenery. Have lunch enroute, taking a break before continuing your journey. Arrive in Kibale National Park later in the afternoon, where you'll check into your lodge and have the evening to relax.

Day 5 | Kibale Forest National Park; Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Today is dedicated to exploring Kibale's rich primate life. Start with an early morning chimpanzee trekking experience, where you'll venture into the forest with experienced guides to track and observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The experience is both thrilling and educational as you learn about the behaviors and social dynamics of these intelligent primates. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through the Bigodi Swamp, a haven for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. The walk offers a chance to see a variety of bird species, as well as other primates and wildlife. Overnight stay at your lodge in Kibale.

Day 6 | Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Boat Ride, and Visit to Katara Women’s Group

Start the day with a rich breakfast before departing from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth, enjoy a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, where you'll see a concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. Have lunch on board as you soak in the scenic views. After the boat ride, visit the Katara Women’s Group, where you can learn about local crafts, participate in community activities, and support their initiatives.

Overnight at MWEYA SAFARI LODGE

Day 7 | QGame Drives in Kasenyi and Ishasha Sectors

Spend the entire day exploring the rich wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Start with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, known for its large lion population, as well as elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species. In the afternoon, head to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. As you drive through this unique area, keep an eye on the fig trees, where you might spot lions resting in the branches. After a full day of wildlife viewing, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Overnight at ENJOJO LODGE

Day 8 | Transfer through Ishasha Sector to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

On this day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spend a few hours exploring this remote and less-visited part of the park, with more opportunities to observe wildlife, particularly the famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a final game drive before continuing the journey towards Bwindi. Arrive at your lodge, nested in the beautiful lush forest of Bwindi, check in and relax as you take in the view.

Activities: Transfer through Ishasha Sector to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 9 | Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today, you will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience: gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, you'll head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers. Then, you'll set out on a guided trek through the dense forest, navigating steep terrain in search of a family of mountain gorillas. Once you find them, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. The trek can be physically challenging, but the reward of encountering gorillas up close makes it all worthwhile. After the trek, return to your lodge to relax and reflect on this incredible experience.

Day 10 | Transfer from Bwindi to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you'll depart Bwindi and journey to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive offers scenic views of Uganda's rolling hills and lush landscapes. Upon arrival at Lake Mburo, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, take a peaceful boat ride on Lake Mburo, where you'll have the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species as well. The boat ride offers a relaxing way to explore the park's aquatic life and scenic beauty. Return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 11 | Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Entebbe for Departure

On your final day, rise early for a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. The park is known for its impressive population of zebras, impalas, elands, and other wildlife. As you explore the park, enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this less-crowded destination. After the game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast before beginning your journey back to Entebbe. You'll have a lunch stop en route, then continue to Entebbe for your departure flight, marking the end of your Ugandan adventure. Safe travels!

Cancellation Policy

Full payment for a trip is to be made 45 days prior to the date of travel.
Time permitting

In case of cancellation:
- 30 – 45 days prior to the date of travel, 10% cancellation fee will be charged
- 15 – 29 days prior to the date of travel, 25% cancellation fee will be charged
- 5 – 14 days prior to the date of travel, 50% cancellation fee will be charged

Less than 5 days prior to the date of travel, 100% cancellation fee will be charged
- Payment to be received in USD
- Bank transfer preferred with bank charges being carried by client
- Credit card is accepted with a bank charge of 6%

Additional Information

GORILLA PERMITS

Gorilla permits are limited in numbers. Permits cannot be booked and are only available upon payment. Because of the limitation, permits are purchased many months in advance.

A 25% deposit of ground handling is required to ensure accommodation is held, as hotels/lodges now require a deposit to confirm the hotel bookings.

Your driver is your personal guide. He is there to make sure that the itinerary is followed through. Please take note of his time schedule. If in doubt please discuss changes or ammendments.
